Dutch Championships Slalom

The Dutch Championships Slalom / Giant Slalom 2010 were very exciting games, while the weather was really bad. I captured bronze at the Slalom, and gained fourth place in my category at the Giant Slalom.
The championships were held in Schladming (Austria). One day the Slalom, and the next day the Giant Slalom.
The atmosphere is always very friendly at the Dutch Championships, almost all parents will be there, and of course all the trainers. There are many stalls and tents at the side of the tracks, and every team has their own tent. Usually we have our team tent all the way up on the tracks, and that's where we can go for drinks and some food. This year Claudia Gijsen and Geertje Derksen had made kaïsersmarren for us. Many of the parents were helping as volunteers, some helping with our ski clothing, others keeping track of the times of all the skiers. This makes for a nice and cosy atmosphere, whether the weather was helping or not.
